In the early days, every whippet racer in the district raced at Measham. It was one mans dream to bring whippet racing to Gresley and eventually, Bill Eyre with a few other racers, ran for a short while at the rear of the White Horse public house at Stanton by Newhall.
Shortly after Bill Eyre negotiated with Old Hall to race there, the rest is history. Old Hall WRC, have been at the present site since 1977 and have enjoyed the facility of two tracks, changing rooms, bar, dance facilities, caravan and camping, with good local links.

Old Hall is central to everyone and very easy to get to, being just off the main motorway network system. We are a very friendly club and welcome new members with open arms, any new members can get friendly practical advice from any member of the club regarding procedures at the club training and racing your dog.
We are very fortunate to have the opportunity during the summer months to have training on a Wednesday evening, this is the time when all of the Old Hall future champions are trained, this facility is open to members and non members. To get to OLD HALL simply tap into your sat nav DE11 9QW.

As I have been in racing since I was two, I would like to share what I have liked about whippet racing.
